Is it too early to mention Xmas...

Well, Let's Go Travel is in celebratory mood and here are just a few reasons why.


Best Tour Operator in Uganda 2021

After being voted the best Travel Management Company in 2020, Let's Go Travel was voted the best "Tour Operator in Uganda 2021" We are really proud of this achievement and thank everyone who voted. This is just the lift we needed after a tough couple of years and it allows us to look forward to 2022 with renewed vigour and purpose.


The tour of Karamoja October 2021

A successful Tour of Karamoja was just completed. It was another incredible and fully subscribed event. Ekyooto HaMpango 2021

The first ever cultural festival in the Tooro Kingdom in Western Uganda is currently taking place. The plan for this event to occur annually under the theme of harnessing the power of culture. The principal city of the Tooro Kingdom is Fort Portal and this is where the majority of the activities took place over the 3 day period the festival was run from the 25th - 28th November. Activities included:

A Virtual Festival

Sporting Events

Business Workshops

Tourism Excursions

A Tourism & Cutural Expo

There was also a premier screening of The Mountains of the Moon and short film that documents the hike to the top of the Ruwenzori Mountains by Joshua Cheptegai who is the, Olympic Gold Medalist (5000m), World Champion (10,000m), World Cross Country Champion, and World Record Holder. Cheptegei is the tenth man in history to hold the 5,000 m and 10,000 m world records concurrently, both set in 2020. He climbed the mountain with other Ugandans including the current CEO of the Ugandan Tourism Board Lilly Ajarova. There was a small celebration after the screening with the Queen Mother of the Tooro Kingdom.


Looking forward to 2022

Although it has been another tough year at Let's Go Travel we looking forward to 2022. We are going to take the positives that we have learnt over the last year and a half and put them into practice with a view to providing an even better service to all of our clients. So if Uganda is on your list for 2022, then you know where we are.
