On 23rd April 2019, Uganda Airlines took receipt of their first two Bombardier CRJ900s and commenced operations in August 2019. Another two Bombardier CRJ900s were delivered to Uganda in October 2019.This was a huge step forward for Uganda whose previous national carrier had operated from 1977 - 2001.
In December 2020 one of two wide bodied, long range Airbus A330 - neo were delivered to Entebbe International Airport, leaving only one more to complete the fleet.

The arrival of the new plane will enable Uganda Airlines to launch its long-range operations with non-stop intercontinental flights to the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
The Bombardier CRJ900s currently fly to Bujumbura, Kinshasa, Mombasa, Nairobi,
Mogadishu, Juba, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar
