Uganda Conservation Foundation

The Uganda Conservation Foundation works closely with the Uganda Wildlife Authority in providing equipment, infrastructure, expertise and training to increase UWAs effectiveness in conservation for generations. Uganda Conservation Foundation (UCF) is a not for profit organisation registered in the UK and Uganda primarily focused on:

Recovering and reconnecting neglected protected areas and supporting the recovery of their wildlife populations

Mitigating human – wildlife conflict

Improving livelihoods of communities close to protected areas.

The Uganda Conservation Foundation also work in closely with international partners such as Tusk who are focused on conservation and development. An example of this collaboration is funds from Tusk enabled the Uganda Conservation Foundation to develop over eight marine ranger posts across the Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park. This water-based presence is critically important in these regions and this capacity enables UWA to more effectively operate both National Parks
